Today Mr. Harry checked all our blogs again. He sent the one that haven't done it to library. Luckily, I done it already. He also checked our music homework which is transfering our jingle to the finale software. Before recess he asked the group performance to rehearse in front of the class. And the rest of the session we went to the instrument room and rehearsed. Me and Andrew Sie, Melvin, and Jeok practiced our song with Mr. Harry Wishnu.

Today Mr. Harry checked all our music blogs. He insisted to send the one that haven't done their blog to the library. But fortunately the library was fully booked so neither of us got to be send. So we just stayed in the class and rehearsed the group work on "fly me to the moon". We spent the whole day performing.

Today Mr. Harru explained us about the jingle we were assigned to do. He opened up some links in youtube. They all are very creative. They can make the jingle always pop up in our mind. So basically the music is the one that easy to sing along with. I really love the coca cola commercial mix. Later on the 2nd session me and my group performed the 8bars on fly me to the moon. I was really bad. I want to be great next time!

Today I did the assessment on singing "I got rhythm". I think I did pretty good. Before when everybody was about to do the assessment, Mr. Harry advised us to sing with a loud voice and consider to do some movement. We will get extra points if we do that. So I tried to move my hand and hips. Myself looked retard at the moment.

Today Mr. Harry told ud to regroup according to the music style we were at. I'm on the Latin Jazz with Jeok, Jayne, and Amanda. We were given a huge paper and we had to make questions about our jazz style. Then other group asked about it and we have to answer. It was used to test our knowledge. Later I sang the "I got the Rhythm" and the test is due on next class. I hope I will do awesome.

Today we did music theory on the notation. Mr harry explained about the major 7th and else again and again. I finally understand it eventhough it was kinda complicated. But I think I did great on what Mr. Harry gave us to practice. I have to really understand it, the notation will be the question of the exam. I hope I can do great.

Today Mr Harry explained us about the 7th chores which we had learned before from term 2. He just did some reviewing also added up the chored 9 and chored 11. We were given some chored and we have to determine what it is. I will do some review at home again. The lesson is important because it will be used for us to make the backgroung of our jingle.

Today we practiced about the 12bar blues. Mr harry rajasa was absent so Mr john legoh did substitute him. I tried to make it on the music book. It was kinda hard. Not knowing what could the music possibly sound. So what I did is I compose the 12 bar blues than I asked Mr John to check it.

today is the day of my assessment playing "All Of Me". but somehow mr. harry told us that the one hasn't completed their blog were not allowed to take a part in the assessment. so me and some of my friend got to be sent to the library spent nearly 1st session to finish the blog. but then on the 2nd session when everybody did their assessment, me and calista went to see mr. harry wishnu to begin our warm up and practice for the last time. luckily i did a good job but still the nervous won't go away.

today i performed the song "All Of Me" in front of the class with calista. we both played it together. we ended up be the last one to perform. first the piano students, guitar, violin, then the woodwind. luckily this time we not going to be assessed by mr. harry it is somewhat like a rehearsal for us. i was very very nervous playing it. i made many false note but i keep continuing. i'm going to practice it in instrument class later on.

today i did the reflection paper on making the 12 bars blues. mr. harry distributes ours and he marked them. mine's got 8. anybody that got 10 had their composition played by mr. harry. they were james', jayne's, kevin's, kezia's. they sound really nice. i wish mine sounds nice too.

today we were asked to submit the 12 bars blues on the paper given. mr. harry checked most of everyone's 12 bars blues and asked us to make a correction of it. i corrected mine at the end of the bar as mr. harry said. then he got pretty mad because somebody haven't colected the booklet until now. afterall, i learned about the blues chord and how it form to become pop, boogie woogie.

today i arrived at class 7 minutes late because i was overslept. when i came mr. harry was explaining and reviewing on the 12 bars blues. he played everyone's 12 bars blues on the keyboard. they sound really nice, i hope mine does. to be frank i had a trouble making it. it was hard to compose a music and try to make it sounds good. but overall everyone did a very good job.

today we were distributed the song called "All Of Me". the song got the jazz intonation that made it really good. everyone from each instrument class got to play the song later on. first started with the piano except steven jaya and jeok. then the guitar; james and budi. then the violin and finally the woodwind; me and calista. i made a lot of mistakes but hopefully i'll make improvements so that when the assessment day comes i will be ready.

today i learned about the blues rhythm. so we were asked to make an improvisiation in the song given. mr. john, mr. harry wishnu, and mr. sadrakh also performed using their own instruments. they intended to show us an example. they played really really great everybody was amused by their performance. then i also made 4 bar blues composition. i hope it sounds good.

today we learned about the C7, F7, ang G7 that have a blues style in it. i practiced to make a four bar of composition which we have to play it and be assessed later on. then hasan, jeok, emir, aryo, and kezia got to sing "sway". they were very entertaining to the class. later i joined with my presentation group which is latin jazz and discuss about it.

today we learned to sing the song "sway" by Michael Bubble. i got to sing it in front of the class according by our instrument class. so me, calista, ian , and melvin got to sing together. i was pretty nervous because the song kinda hard to sing, it has the jazz intonation in it. we were also divided into 6 group of bebop, ragtime, latin jazz, cool jazz, fussion jazz, and swing.

today i learned about the codally. we were divided into 3 groups. me, calista, kezia, jayne , and jeok all with the same group. we played the angklung which of us has a different tone between do and sol. while tiffany demonstrating the codally with the song "ode to joy". codally is somewhat a sign that shows you tone.

today i learned about the tan, taka, tiki tiki. we were given some  notation and we should sing it based on the rhythm . tan is for 1 beat, taka is for 1/2 beat, and tiki tiki is for 1/4 beat. today i had fun in the class. listening all my friends singing it made me laugh. it was so funny and absurd.

today mr. harry distributed us handout about Johann S. Bach. it contains history, background , and all his personal life. then he told us to memorize it. we were given like 5 minutes then we got this paper like a quiz or something and we have to answer it without looking the handout. it was so difficult because Bach's history was so complicated that it made really hard to understand.

today i did my assessment on major 7th, dominant 7th, and the inversion. i'm so relieved because the assessment is not very hard for me. i think i did pretty well. because yesterday mr. john already taught us and explain it again and again.

today is the assessment day of singing "la bamba" and "what a wonderful world". i didn't get assessed because there's no more time left, so i will do it on the next session. but overall everybody had a great performance. they did a really nice job. i hope me and calista too.

today i did the inversion quiz. i still felt confuse about it but i think i did a good job answering all the question. i just need more practice and explanation. then mr. john told us that the assessment has been canceled and will be done tomorrow. i hope i can learn from my mistakes, do it better, and not repeating those mistakes again. i will also do some review at home so i can make a good score.

today i sang the song " what a wonderful world". he is the one who taught me today not mr. john. i learned about music theory, such as; the inversion and major scales. and he also gave us homework about the major 7th (G,D,A) and to learn the song "Gundul-Gundul Pacul" to be assessed next week. mr. harry asked us to open my mail tonight to get the lyric of it.

today i learned about the what a wonderful world song. we sang it altogether. mr. harry told us that the assessment would be on the 27th of October. so i have to be ready until then. he also told us that it was okay if we paired up with somebody on the assessment. i chose calista to be my partner.

today i learned about the la bamba song. me and others were asked to sing it two by two in front of the class. mr. harry also told me to collect the homework about Finale software. we have to make a composition of 32 bars and put it into the finale. that later on going to be assessed.

today we learned about the "AABA" form , how to apply those form to the music bars. mr harry asked us to make 32 bars from that "AABA" form. i understand it very well. i think the task isn't too hard so hopefuly i did it correct. but the not-so-easy part is that i have to consider those bars to be easy to play. with my lack of fluency playing the flute so i must make the bars playable for me. mr harry also told us a little thing about Finale software, how does it work to help with our 32 bars of "AABA".

today on music class, i learned and studied about the musical pop song form. mr harry rajasa n mr john legoh expalined about it and asked us to make the examples on the music book. i understand it very well. they taught us very clearly. as for the instrument class i learned about the c major and how to do the fingering.

today i did my assessment, playing my flute. i played the song "Mary Had a Little Lamb". finally, i can do the fingering. but i didn't play it smoothly, still there was some mistakes i made. and not really in a good way. mr. harry wishnu told me to practice and practice. so i listened to his advise and take home my flute so that i can practice it at home. i hope with me playing it and learning from youtube, somehow will show some improvements. i also hope that i can do well for the next assessment.
